Be sure to block out this day on your calendar to go play in the snow and see the sights of Leavenworth’s annual Baverian Ice Fest! A trip to Leavenworth, “Washington’s Bavarian Village,” is much like a trip to Bavaria itself, but without the expense, jet lag, lost luggage, greedy money changers, and the opportunity to get to know the TSA security screeners on a close and personal level.
The exact itinerary has not yet been set, but this will be an all-day enjoyment of Ice Fest and Leavenworth in general, including snow-oriented and hot-food-oriented activities, among other things.
Carpooling and lodging arrangements are on an on-your-own basis. If staying over Friday or Saturday night, be sure to make travel arrangements quickly, as the hotels will fill up for this popular event.
When: Saturday, January 19th (all day)
