Oct-Dec Supply Drive to benefit Union Gospel Mission
By admin | November 7, 2011
For the months of October, November, and December, the KCYRs will be collecting items to be donated to the Union Gospel Mission. As mentioned earlier, the Union Gospel Mission is an organization that serves homeless and under-privledged men and women of the Seattle area. There are several Men’s shelters in Seattle and Renton, as well as a Women and Children’s shelter. Some folks enter the UGM program on their own to recover from drug and alcohol addiction, and some are mandated by Court. Seattle Union Gospel Mission also offers meals and toiletries, clothing, and blankets to the hundreds of homeless on the Streets of Seattle.
Please join the KCYR Board in collecting items that can be used by the leaders at UGM to bless the folks who they come in contact with. If you would prefer to donate money to be used to purchase items instead of shopping yourself, please let Jennifer know and she can coordinate that for you.
Please consider purchasing the following items and dropping them off in the “UGM Donation” bin (many items donated may be regular size for shelters or Trial/Travel size for the homeless):
